
Blood, injection and injury phobia in older adults
In a very large sample of 8,025 people in the United States who were aged 65+, it was found that 0.6% had a blood injection injury phobia and no other phobia. There were many more people who had a specific phobia (like spiders and snakes) and the blood injection injury phobia (4.2%). If you have have a blood injection and injury phobia you are likely to have other issues. These additional issues include hypertension, anxiety and personality disorders.
